Let's start with Finland. An amazing country in which everything seems harmoniously. The magnificent nature, economic stability, a high standard of living of people, low unemployment, as well as an impressive old-age pension. Such economic indicators are achieved by attracting foreign investment, as well as our own industry that produces high-quality products (for example, Finnish paper, known all over the world). In almost any city in the country, the average income is 3-3.5 thousand dollars, while in Helsinki this figure rises to 4,000.

Further in our route the Alps and Austria. In terms of population, this whole country is 1.5 times inferior to Moscow alone, however, from the economic point of view, the Mother See. The main pillars of the Austrian economy are the metallurgical industry, construction, and food production. It is no coincidence that at the very beginning we focused on the Alps. Indeed, in the winter in Austria begins a real ski boom. Tens of thousands of skiers and snowboarders come here from all over Europe to enjoy some of the best snow slopes and replenish the Austrian treasury.

Not bad with the economy in the Netherlands either. Surely you at least for a second thought about the famous Amsterdam cannabis buns and red light districts. Of course, these lovely charms have some influence on the economy of the Netherlands, but in general, a high standard of living is supported by other factors. Such, for example, are the metallurgical industry and gas processing. A significant contribution to the country's economy is also made by agriculture (it is developed here at a fairly decent level). Finally, the oil industry also does not stand aside. Well, the tourism business we have already mentioned.

We will say right away that this country is not the last of the Scandinavian countries where we will visit today, the whole peninsula is not in poverty here. As for Sweden itself, it is not a sin to have a stable economic situation, because several dozen world-famous companies are located on the territory of this state. Volvo, Scania, Saab, Oriflame, Tele2, Ericsson and ABB are not all the companies that everyone has heard about and whose headquarters are in Sweden. The country also leads in the production of bearings. In addition, taxes are a traditional article of economic income in Sweden (they are quite high here, as are salaries).

The next northern state also has a stable economy. Denmark has an extremely low rate of unemployment and inflation. People’s desire to work is explained not only by a decent salary, but also subsequently by an impressive pension (the highest in the world after all). Large taxes do not scare workers (they are really huge here). Denmark can be positioned as an agricultural country with an industrial bias. The export items here are meat and everything connected with it, as well as fish. Furniture and engineering products can be distinguished from industrial products. Separately, it is worth highlighting the pharmaceutical industry, it is developed in Denmark at a very decent level.

What do you know about Ireland? Hmmm, nothing but whiskey comes to mind. Well, it’s already good, because the export of these alcoholic beverages is also an item of economic income. More seriously, the food industry along with the textile industry are the main builders of the Irish economy. Metallurgical plants do not stand aside, they also bring certain dividends to the treasury. The crisis of 2008 hit this country quite painfully, however, after 10 years, Ireland is again in the top ten European countries leading in terms of living standards. Worthy.

The economy is also in order in a northern country with a population of 322,000, of which two-thirds live in Reykjavik. The secret of the humble Iceland, once known only for fishing (in fairness, has not changed much since then) is that more and more people are resorting to renewable energy resources here. Hydropower is highly developed, and geothermal sources are also actively used. Other means of supporting the economy in Iceland are information technology, tourism, banking, and even biotechnology. Do not forget about the traditional source of income for Icelanders - the extraction of fish and seafood.

As promised, we are returning to Scandinavia, or rather to Norway. About 5 million people live in the country, and all of them are fairly wealthy people, because GDP per capita exceeds $ 70,000. Norway is famous not only for its high standard of living, but also for its safety. In 2011, a notorious person by the name of Breivik pretty tarnished the idea of absolute tranquility in Norway, but today the country returns its laurels to one of the safest in the world. As for economic affairs, the main source of replenishment of the Norwegian treasury is the oil and gas industry, which includes the extraction and processing of raw materials.

Meanwhile, the foot of the Alps awaits us again, only this time from Switzerland. This country is famous primarily for its cheese, chocolate and watches. From an economic point of view, this is light industry and food production. However, truly the main destination of Switzerland are banks. Here concentrated a little more than a third of the global monetary property of private and legal entities. It is not surprising that in this country everyone lives well. A huge number of financial institutions allow people to master prestigious professions and good income. Do not write off tourism, especially in winter. Alps after all.

They definitely didn’t expect it, did they? God only knows where Luxembourg is located in terms of population with its population of 600,000, but these people live in abundance. The fact is that the state enters the offshore zone, where excellent conditions for profitable business are created. In Luxembourg (by the way, the capital, where all life boils, is called in the same way) there are 2 hundred banks and 1000 various investment funds (if anything, then for such a meager territory this is very, very much). Actually, such a concentration of cash depots is the main factor in the economic well-being of Luxembourg.
