3. Tiananmen Square (Beijing, China)
Arriving in Beijing, it is unlikely that someone will get around a big Tiananmen Square. It is always very crowded. 2 times a day, residents observe the descent and rise of the city flag. The square got its name from the Tiananmen Gate, which was built in 1415-1420 - once the south entrance of the Imperial City was closed to ordinary people.
The name is very interestingly translated as "Gate of Heavenly Peace". Today, the square that you see in the photo is one of the main tourist places. On the east side of the square is the National Museum, and on the west is the House of National Assemblies.
2. Sunflowers Area (Palmas, Brazil)
