10. Ashes and diamond | 1958
The end of World War II, spring, 1945. Residents of Poland, who were previously united by one misfortune and a common enemy, began to kill each other due to political differences. The country becomes "Soviet territory."
Macek used to be a student, but now he is a brave and experienced fighter who needs to kill a very important Communist for the Resistance. However, he is mistaken and takes the lives of ordinary workers who are in no way connected with party activity.
Now the fighter and his commander are forced to hide.
9. The best years of our lives | 1946
Three US Army officers after the end of hostilities returned to their loved ones.
Homer was left without upper limbs, and his beloved girl, whom he wanted to marry, faced a serious test of the strength of her feelings.
Fred’s wife didn’t really miss her spouse: when her husband was not there, she left his parents and began to live independently. In addition, Fred has big problems with money, and they are not in a hurry to hire him.
Al’s children began to grow up to his return: a former soldier has to re-gain the trust and love of family members.
8. Mama’s sons | 1953
Adriatic, a small town. After poverty, devastation and other suffering of the war, the inhabitants of Italy are just starting to have fun, arrange a family life, work and enjoy the sea, sunshine.
However, several characters in the film feel dissatisfaction, they want to escape from these places, and as soon as possible. These are the matured “sissies of the mother” who seek to leave their native nest, but cannot do it in any way.
7. Bad sleep peacefully | 1960
Koichi Nishi is a young man whose thoughts are occupied with dreams of revenge. His father was brought to suicide by the head of a well-known land company. Nisi wants all people involved in this crime to be in prison.
Using documents that do not belong to him, Koichi takes a job at this company. After some time, the young man’s enemies begin to trust him: he’s even going to marry Yoshiko, the daughter of the vice president. Seeing an unusual wedding cake, company leaders begin to guess what awaits them.
6. The bodyguard | 1961
Samurai, who came to a certain Japanese city, looks very unusual for a samurai: he is shaggy, poorly trimmed. Local oligarchs, who are wanted and under investigation, created two criminal groups in this town.
People suffer greatly from the lawlessness of criminals, and the samurai decides to help them and reduce the number of members of these gangs. He engages in one or another group - and kills the villains, not forgetting to achieve his own goals.
5. Singing in the rain | 1952
This legendary film was shot based on old Broadway songs. Popular actor Don Lockwood began his career as an ordinary stuntman and musician.
He constantly has to act in film with Lina Lamont - selfish, spoiled and self-confident person. She does not doubt that there is a love affair between her and her partner, however this is only a trick of the film studio, which allows the actors to provide additional advertising. In fact, Lina is very annoying to Don, and he does not represent her next to him.
4. The king of comedy | 1982
Rupert Papkin is a cheerful loser who does not doubt his genius. He believes that his mission is to become a famous comedian. You only need to be on stage once, and luck will surely smile at him.
Papkin asks Jerry Langford, the host of the famous evening program, for permission to perform on this show. However, the popular showman is not at all eager to let into his transmission obsessive mediocrity.
Rupert is denied, but he still does not lose hope and continues to go towards his goal, not doubting his strength and talent.
3. Raging bull | 1980
The Bronx Bull is the nickname of Jake LaMott, who successfully performs in the boxing ring. Boxing allows you to splash out all of his sexual and psychological complexes. Joey is Jake's brother, who is his promoter and coach.
The boxer has a wife, Vicki. He married a girl when she was a teenager. Their family life was unsuccessful: LaMott did not doubt that his wife was cheating on him. He constantly shouted at her, and sometimes even dismissed his hands.
Even the persuasion of his brother did not help to become more flexible. As a result, the boxer, who never learned to control his aggression, very badly spoiled relations with loved ones and remained completely lonely.
2. Apartment | 1960
C. C. Baxter is an employee of a New York insurance company. To achieve promotion, he gives the keys to his apartment not only to friends who often spend time with his lovers, but also to his boss.
When Baxter nevertheless begins to move up the career ladder, the unforeseen happens: he has tender feelings for his boss's lover. The girl tries to commit suicide, but CC rescues her, distracts from new attempts at suicide by playing cards and talking.
1. Sunrise | 1927
The Woman From The City convinces the Man to fine-tune the murder of his Wife. The protagonist is in love with the instigator, so you do not have to persuade him for too long. They adjust the accident on the boat: The man must drown his wife.
Already during a boat trip, the main character realizes that he is not able to kill a person. The wife guesses what he wants to do, and escapes when the boat is at the city pier. After that, the couple finds out the relationship and eventually reunites again.
