8. In the dugout
The text of the beautiful song was written by a war correspondent and part-time poet Surkov at the very beginning of the war in the fall of the 41st.
Then Alexei Surkov, along with his colleagues, went to the front. His battalion underwent mortar fire, which had to wait in the dugout. So, instead of a military report, Surkov saw poetic lines, the drafts of which were sent for “review” to his relatives.
Later, the journalist showed the stanzas to composer Listov, as a result of which a song was born, which was widely used among front-line soldiers. The work wanted to perform by creative teams, as well as the famous domestic singer Ruslanova.

The words were written in the summer of the first war year and were not planned for publication. But six months later, they were first published by the newspaper Pravda, and then put on the music of the famous domestic composer Blanter.
At different times, a beautiful piece was performed by Vinogradov, Gil and Hvorostovsky.
The main meaning of the song is the symbol of the "love amulet" with which the family protects the warriors from possible death. How important it is to believe and wait for a dear person, even in moments when the last strength and hope leave.
6. Dark-skinned girl
The music for the well-known and beloved war song was written by Novikov, and the Swedes became the poet. The original composition was part of a suite written at the request of the Kiev Special Military District and dedicated to Kotovsky.
The song tells about a partisan girl who acted during the Civil War. It is interesting that in the pre-war years it was never performed.
Famous performers, including Rotaru, Kobzon, Chepraga and others, sang the song in various arrangements and styles. She also accompanied the visuals of two films, such as “Soldiers of Freedom” (Tolkunova became the soloist), and “Only Old Men Go to Battle”.

The composition, written in Mokrousov in collaboration with the poetry writer Zharov, is dedicated to the hero city of Sevastopol. It first appeared in 1944 and was based on real events.
As a result of bloody battles outside the city, a boat with four sailors, one of whom is mortally wounded, floats across the sea. He gives the comrades a fragment of the granite embankment of Sevastopol, bequeathing that it must be returned to its place at any cost.
The sailors pass the granite stone from hand to hand, and as a result, he returns to Sevastopol freed from the Nazis. The song is very moving and contains a deep meaning.

Who does not know the true masterpiece of World War II, which was sung by both adults and children? It seems that the song is about a girl who is waiting for her beloved from the war.
But in fact, the text contains a second semantic line, after all, jet guns of the Soviet Union were called "Katyusha".
The song was created, which is the most interesting, 3 years before the start of the war, but at that time it was not widespread. During the war, she became one of the main front-line songs and even acquired an additional verse.
By the way, Katyusha’s poems continued to be copied and adapted, dedicated to partisan women.

It is extremely important that the younger generation never forget their history and ancestors, because it is the attitude to the past of the Motherland that determines its present and future.
And in preserving this memory, folk art helps us, which captures the most difficult and most beautiful moments that accompany the Great Patriotic War.
